Avient Launches Biocompatible PEEK Colorants and Pre-Colored Formulations for Healthcare at MEDICA 2024

DÜSSELDORF, Germany – November 11, 2024 – Avient Corporation, a premier provider of specialized and sustainable materials solutions and services, is pleased to announce the launch of Colorant Chromatics™ Transcend™ Biocompatible PEEK Pre-Colored Compounds and Colorants at MEDICA 2024, one of the largest B2B medical technology and healthcare trade fairs, happening today through November 14. Developed with the rigorous demands of the healthcare industry in mind, these innovative pre-colored compounds are formulated with materials that have been successfully tested for ISO 10993 biocompatibility, supporting compliance with the highest standards for medical applications.

Part of the Colorant Chromatics™ Transcend™ portfolio, this range of pre-colored formulations and color concentrates are created specifically for the healthcare industry and are especially useful for injection molding and extrusion processes. With ultra-high heat and chemical resistance, excellent mechanical properties, and dimensional stability, polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is an excellent material for applications in the medical field, particularly for applications requiring multiple sterilizations and rigorous disinfection methods.
